We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry.

This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week on a three-rotational shift pattern, ensuring you have variety and balance in your working schedule.

This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week on a three-rotational shift pattern, ensuring you have variety and balance in your working schedule.

  • Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 07.00am - 3.00pm
  • Mid Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3.00pm - 11.00pm and Friday 10.30pm finish
  • Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 11.00pm - 07.00am

Package: £43,806 (depending on experience), plus shift allowance (£105 per week for Mid and £157.50 per week for Night), overtime, annual bonus, and a Cummins Reward Scheme.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Safely undertake a full range of maintenance duties within a complex manufacturing environment.

The role will be predominantly working in the Assembly, Test and Trim areas ensuring key equipment is returned to production in a timely manner.

  • Fault finding and repair of plant and machinery including automated lines, nut runners, test cells.
  • Following job completion all equipment must be functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Timely completion of PPMs to schedule.
  • Ensure a timely response to events.
  • Review equipment with a view to pre-empt and prevent equipment failure.
  • Raise requisitions for equipment spares in line with company cost, quality and delivery requirements and submit to supervisor for approval.
  • Respond within skill boundaries for emergency procedure events.
  • Liaise closely with Operation's Supervisors on priorities and initiate analysis of data to support corrective engineering work.
  • Support team operation and assist/train others as appropriate.
  • Competently follow safe systems of work to complete tasks including working in confined space/at heights, LOTO where necessary.

About You

  • Recognised apprenticeship (Time served electrician or mechanical fitter).
  • Experienced in PPM techniques.
  • Experience of automated lines (test cells preferable, Siemens S7 PLC knowledge an advantage).
  • Experienced in working within Safe systems of work (LOTO, Working at height, Confined spaces).
  • Computer literate (Maximo, Lotus Notes, Oracle).
  • Able to follow a systematic problem solving process.
  • Robotics experience preferred.
