Cumming Group is looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our growing Edinburgh office. This is a key delivery role within our hospitality and real estate portfolio, offering the opportunity to take ownership of live projects and act as a primary client interface under the strategic direction of the Associate Director. We are seeking a forward-thinking Project Manager with strong hotel and hospitality experience, who is confident leading projects, managing consultants and contractors, and taking responsibility for delivery. This role is suited to someone who wants real ownership, visibility, and the chance to grow with a developing regional business. You will play a central role in delivering refurbishment, repositioning, and new-build hotel projects, while helping shape the next phase of growth for the Edinburgh office. We are interested in candidates who are commercially minded, delivery focused, and motivated by responsibility and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Project Management services across pre- and post-contract stages
- Take ownership of assigned projects, acting as the day-to-day client interface
- Manage programmes, reporting, risk, change control and governance processes
- Lead the preparation, management and evaluation of tender documentation and contract administration
- Independently manage market testing exercises with contractors and consultants
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Produce and own project reports, dashboards, risk registers and cost/programme forecasts
- Drive project performance against time, cost, quality and safety objectives
- Work closely with the Associate Director to enable strategic focus on growth and client development
- Take responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality standards
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction, or similar technical discipline
- Working towards Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, APM or similar)
- Ideally 3+ years’ consultancy experience in hospitality or real estate projects
- Strong project delivery track record with the confidence to manage clients and consultants
- Commercially aware and comfortable working with cost and programme data
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple workstreams
- Ambitious and motivated by responsibility and progression
