Cumming Group, a Cost and Project Management Consultancy within the construction industry, provides a wide range of services to clients spanning several different sectors. Cumming Group is seeking to recruit a Project Manager in London.
Overview
The role involves supporting project delivery across pre- and post-contract activities, coordinating documentation, and assisting with cost management and on-site delivery where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs
- Assist in the preparation of Consultant appointments
- Provide assistance on general project management tasks such as meeting minutes, dashboard reporting, risk management
- Support the delivery of planning applications with team management and document collation
- Provide light Cost Management assistance with measures and comparison checks to develop a rounded understanding of the works required
- Perform general administrative and project tasks to ensure the project progresses in a timely and coordinated manner
- Manage onsite works for the delivery of schemes as a Project Manager and Employers Agent
Key Attributes
- The ability to be a great addition to the team, assisting senior staff and others in the delivery of existing and new schemes
- Provide project management services through pre- and post-contract processes
- Support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
- Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
- Develop relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to grow and develop
- Manage the delivery of key schemes in the Manchester office, as part of a team with senior members
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree qualified in Project Management or similar technical discipline
- Working towards Chartered status (if possible)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience of working in the construction industry
- Ability to analyse the programme and construction technologies to determine the best methods of construction
- Client-facing with a high standard of delivery
- Track record of working with teams, managing projects by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
