Cumming Group , a Cost and Project Management Consultancy within the construction industry, a wide range of services to clients spanning several different sectors. We take pride in delivering an excellent service. Cumming Group as seeking to recruit a Commercial Auditor to join our team in Manchester. We are looking for a commercially astute and detail-oriented Commercial Auditor with over 5 years of relevant experience, ideally across a wide range of contract types, including bespoke contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of financial records, transactions, and processes in line with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive commercial audits across a variety of contract types Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, identifying disallowed costs and inconsistencies Analyse financial records and transactions to verify accuracy and adherence to contractual terms Evaluate compliance with accounting standards, laws, and internal policies Identify discrepancies in accounting methods, procedures, and commercial documentation Prepare detailed reports with audit findings, risks, and actionable recommendations Engage with project and commercial teams to ensure alignment and transparency Requirements More than 5 years of relevant commercial auditing or quantity surveying experience RICS-qualified or equivalent professional accreditation Strong understanding of contractual obligations and commercial frameworks Experience auditing bespoke and standard contract types Thorough knowledge of cost compliance, disallowed cost evaluation, and financial standards Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a sharp eye for detail Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Cumming Management Group is committed to creating a diverse workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
