Cumming Group is looking to recruit a Building Surveyor to join our team in the London office. As a Building Surveyor, you will provide expert-level consultancy and project support for construction projects across various stages and sectorsâfrom concept design to construction completion.
You will be responsible for undertaking professional and project work for a combination of landlords, occupiers, private investment companies, institutions, corporate clients, and government agencies. You will partner with a diverse set of clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional value, acting as a trusted advisor and helping to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Running projects and liaising with the client, managing the day-to-day aspects of the job, with some input from an Associate or Associate Director.
- Working with a high level of autonomy; however, you will understand when to involve your line manager in issues that may arise that would have an impact on the project or the business.
- Building on your technical skills and knowledge for your role.
- Developing your communication skills within both internal and external company settings.
- Beginning to build relationships with consultants and clients and thinking more about the professional environment you work within.
- Expected to show greater initiative and proactive approach to your project works, as well as looking to develop problemâsolving skills through greater knowledge and understanding.
- RICS qualified preferably with 3 years' relevant postâqualification commercial surveying experience, but a suitable candidate will be considered.
- Proven track record on project management.
- Good appreciation of professional and projectâbased building surveying matters.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work as part of a multiâdisciplinary team to deliver a project.
- Build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships.
- Organise and prioritise tasks so that they are completed within an agreed time frame.
- Provide concise and clear written communication.
- Able to delegate whilst maintaining accountability and ensuring delivery.
- Accurate and excellent attention to detail.
- Proâactive and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Good role model for junior members of the team.
