Associate Director – Infrastructure

The Role:

We’re looking for an Associate Director to join our team. Acting as a key ambassador for Cumming Group, you’ll be responsible for managing key client relationships, delivering high-quality services, and driving business growth. You’ll also lead and mentor a team, ensuring strong performance and supporting long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead service delivery for key clients, maintaining and strengthening relationships
  • Support strategic initiatives and identify new growth opportunities
  • Manage bids, fee proposals, and resource planning
  • Oversee project budgets, invoicing, and change control processes
  • Provide leadership, line management, and mentoring for team members
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client governance, and quality standards
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of staff in line with business needs
  • Forecast team workload and staffing requirements
  • Contribute to business development through networking and client engagement

About You:

  • Strong technical knowledge of the construction industry
  • Excellent client-facing, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and forward-planning abilities
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Highly presentable with the ability to build trust and credibility

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar
  • MRICS (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience managing people and delivering multiple or complex projects
