Cumming Group as seeking to recruit an Assistant Auditor to join our team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their auditing or accountancy career. As an Assistant Auditor, you will support internal audit activities and help ensure that our financial and operational controls are effective and compliant. You’ll gain valuable experience working across a diverse portfolio of projects within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of internal audit assignments using risk-based methodology
- Support in evaluating risk and control frameworks across financial and operational areas
- Help assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards
- Contribute to audit reports by identifying control gaps and recommending improvements
- Work alongside experienced auditors and commercial teams to develop your understanding of audit best practices
Requirements:
- Actively working towards a recognised qualification (e.g. CIMA, CCAB, AAT, RICS) or equivalent
- Basic understanding of risk-based internal audit methodology and its application
- Awareness of key regulatory frameworks relevant to auditing and compliance
- Familiarity with risk and control evaluation techniques
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
