Responsibilities
- Supporting the use of the full range of Project Planning Management Processes.
- Lead day-to-day delivery of projects and assume responsibility for large projects, demonstrating the ability to take on tasks with no supervision whilst supporting the wider team, integrating with key stakeholders and developing key relationships.
- Support knowledge capture, sharing and innovation.
- Support preparation and evaluation of tenders, contractor/consultant selection and contract documentation, with a key focus on contract, planning, cost and deliverability of the project as a whole.
- Support planning and value management including facilitation of workshops.
- Support contract administration for relevant contract provisions, monthly reporting and chairing project meetings.
- Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner to a high standard of quality.
- Combining: Logic, Contract milestones, Critical path, and evaluating drift/opportunities and reporting.
- Delivery of work to a high-quality company standard and completed in a timely manner as required.
- Undertake service delivery in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Practice, particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
- Undertake service in compliance with the client's corporate governance procedures where applicable.
- Achieve all objectives as required by the annual performance review process.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing projects.
- Communicate effectively and diligently where potential opportunities may be prevalent.
- Support development and management of the project programmes and obtaining the buy-in of all stakeholders.
- Provide support to junior team members, mentoring as necessary and assisting development as required.
- Ability to review programmes and advise on contractual entitlements in the assessments of Claims/Compensation Events and Disputes.
Qualifications
- Ability to deliver results in a client facing role.
- Experience dealing with and coordinating a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
- Strong leadership skills and team/management communication.
- Industry specific degree essential.
- Advanced working knowledge of planning software, P6, MSP, ASTA PP.
- MAPM/MRICS or other equivalent qualification or experience.
- Associate status with APM or RICS.
- Detailed understanding of leadership techniques.
- Ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and supplying consistent information.
- 5+ years' Industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry technical planning matters across multiple sectors.
- Experience and strong understanding of industry standard forms of contract, typically JCT, NEC, FIDIC.
- Strong technical project planning management skills.
- Developed skills around following planning processes: Planning management and development, Resource, Risk, Opportunities and Issues, Change Control, Stakeholder Management, Contract and Communications.
- Interpersonal and team building skills.
- Strong experience of planning and leading the delivery of multiple projects and major projects' programmes of work.
- Strong understanding of HS&E legislation.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
