The governors of this happy, friendly and well respected Catholic school wish to appoint a temporary part time Teaching Assistant to join our committed hard working team. This post is to work within our early years / KS1 classes and required to provide sens support.
You will have at least a relevant NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification, or 3 years full time or 5 years part time experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working within and Early Years or KS1 setting
- A commitment to upholding and supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
- Good knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, in particular social, emotional & mental health issues and challenging behaviour
- Motivation and enthusiasm
- High expectations for pupils
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Flexibility is essential
