Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover) Hours: 31 hours per week

PCD5 (£25,989 per annum, pro rata) Term time only + INSET, fixed term until 17th July 2026.
The governors of Wiggonby C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant, to cover maternity leave, to support pupils and staff throughout the school, but primarily within upper Key Stage 2. Candidates should hold a relevant and minimum Level 3 qualification for teaching assistants. Previous experience of supporting children with SEND would be an advantage. This post may also suit a newly qualified teacher to gain experience of working in a school.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, warm and caring individual who is able to develop a supportive relationship with children and their families for the purpose of improving educational outcomes, self-esteem, resilience and aspiration. This may include emotional support, following structured programmes and contributing to multi‑agency meetings.
