Fixed Term Part Time (0.5) Teacher of Key Stage 1 Required from 1st September 2026 for one year initially due to fluctuating pupil numbers. The Governors of Burgh by Sands Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and experienced team. This position is being offered on a temporary, fixed-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner who delivers engaging lessons which inspire children.
  • Be proactive and effective in working with others and developing strong, positive relationships to promote learning.
  • Be able to support the progress, aspirations and well-being of every child.
  • Have recent experience of working with Year 1 or 2.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations of standards to ensure the progress of all pupils.
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.
  • Be a dedicated, flexible team member who is committed to taking part in the whole life of the school.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children.
  • Lead a curriculum area and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
