The Governors of Maryport Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team. The position is being initially offered on a temporary basis due to fluctuating pupil numbers and is for the summer term 2026 until 31st August 2026. There is some flexibility to run this post as 3 full days or to distribute the hours across the week.
The successful candidate will:
- Have recent experience of working with Year 5 or 6 with knowledge of KS2 SATs procedures and expectations
- Have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations of standards to ensure the progress of all pupils
- Be committed to providing challenging and exciting learning opportunities for all children by motivating and inspiring them
- Be committed to making learning engaging and meaningful using a cross curricular approach
- Create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment
- Be a dedicated, flexible team member who is committed to taking part in the whole life of the school
- Foster good relationships with parents, pupils, governors, colleagues and other professionals
