Frizington Nursery School & Preschool are looking to employ a permanent Childcare Practitioner who is friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and giving every child the best start to their Early Years education. It is an exciting time at Frizington Nursery school as we continue to grow and expand our school.

PCD5 £25,989 pro rata, full year, permanent. 25 hrs per week, overtime will be available. The position is to start 1st June 2026 (or as soon as possible).

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and willing to work towards a Level 3
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
Requirements
  • Work constructively as part of a team
  • Liaise effectively with staff and parents
  • Promote inclusion of all pupils within the Early Years classrooms
  • Show initiative and hold high expectations for pupils
  • Display a professional attitude at all times and desire to continue professional development
  • Demonstrate their experience of working in the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Work towards a Level 3 qualification

Frizington Nursery School & Preschool is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, an enhanced DBS check including the barred list will be required for the successful candidate and other procedures and checks will be followed as laid out in our Safeguarding Policy.
