Overview
Full‑time Early Years Practitioner / Teaching Assistant role (0‑3 year old) at our new nursery, 'Little Paddlers', in the Easter 2026 intake. The role operates All Year Round (49 weeks) in line with EYFS Level 3. It offers a supportive environment within Eaglesfield Paddle CE Primary Academy, including high quality learning spaces, strong team ethos, and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Encourage children and families to "be the best they can be" with a God‑involving approach.
- Maintain safeguarding standards as per Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Welcome and build lasting positive relationships with new families.
- Create a homely and nurturing environment for the nursery.
- Foster a love of learning and support children’s development.
- Plan and deliver engaging provision in line with Development Matters and the EYFS.
- Work within a dedicated team focused on inclusion and high expectations.
- Collaborate with outside agencies, the SENDCo and other professionals to provide the best provision possible.
- Demonstrate inclusive strategies and creative provision for all pupils.
- Implement clear and effective behaviour management strategies.
- Engage parents, church links and the wider community in the school life.
- Plan and support externally focused learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an approved Level 3 Early Years or equivalent qualification.
- Experience and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
