The governors of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed, highly motivated, enthusiastic classroom practitioner to join our teaching team from 1st September 2026.   • Practising Catholic with a strong faith commitment.

  • Ability to identify and deliver outstanding teaching; confidence to lead and model this.
  • Previous leadership experience within a primary school, at senior leadership level.
  • Passion for ensuring that each pupil fulfils their unique potential.
  • Tenacious approach to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
  • In-depth knowledge of the curriculum across the primary age range including EYFS.
  • Respect for the experiences, knowledge and cultural diversity of every child, using this as a foundation for improving standards.
  • Offer all children equal access to all aspects of school life; appreciating, celebrating, understanding and accepting individual differences.
  • Encourage children to become good citizens holding British and Gospel values, by developing caring attitudes, tolerance and respect towards themselves, other children, adults, their school and their community.
