Fixed Term – Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (32.5hpw) – fixed term until 17th July 2026, due to pupil numbers. There may be the opportunity for this to be extended. There will also be a lunchtime commitment of 30 minutes a day.
PCD5 £25,989 per annum pro rata (32.5 hpw) term time only plus 1 week INSET.
Burgh by Sands School are seeking to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to work with SEN pupils across KS2. The successful candidates should be capable of integrating swiftly and successfully into our hard working, friendly and experienced team as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to join our warm and welcoming village school, where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
The role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to deliver targeted support and ensure positive outcomes for pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
- Has experience working with SEND children
- Is committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential
- Has high expectations of all pupils and is committed to raising standards
- Has good listening and behaviour management skills
- Is calm, patient, resilient and flexible, with the ability to adapt to the child’s needs
- Is enthusiastic, motivated and fully prepared to participate in the wider life of the school
- Can follow direction from the class teacher and also use their own initiative
- Can work effectively as part of a committed staff team
