Position Overview
School Administrator 35 hours per week 8:15am – 3:45pm Part-time Permanent Term-time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year)
Salary BS5 £25,989 (FTE) per annum £20,962-£21,523 (pro-rata)
Responsibilities
- Reception duties
- General admin duties including minute taking, organising visits etc
- Managing school records, data and communications
- Providing administrative support to the Headteacher and School Business Manager
- Supporting school events
- Operating relevant IT packages
- Ordering and processing payments
Qualifications
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Prior experience working within a school environment preferred; full training will be given
- Friendly and approachable, dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner in person, by telephone and via email while maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, familiarity with Microsoft packages; experience with a school management information system (Arbor) is an advantage but not essential
- Organised, efficient and committed to teamwork
- Willing to undertake First Aid training
