St John Henry Newman Catholic School seeks an enthusiastic, inspirational and innovative English Teacher to join a highly professional and forward‑thinking English Department. This is a temporary post to cover maternity leave from February 2026 to September 2026.

St John Henry Newman Catholic School has a distinctive caring and Christian ethos, emphasising the individual and supporting pupils to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will teach at GCSE and have the potential to teach A‑Level.

As a new school building, the teacher will have access to excellent resources to support career development and progression. We are interested in experienced teachers looking for a new challenge as well as early‑career teachers at the start of their career.

Safeguarding and welfare of young people is a priority. This post will require satisfactory DBS and health checks.
