This post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic finance administrator to join the highly acclaimed Cumbria Education Trust, the largest school‑based multi‑academy trust in Cumbria. We are seeking to appoint an additional Finance Assistant to support the work in our central Finance Team. You will be primarily located at the Trust’s main offices in Brampton.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all processes. You will work closely with staff (central team and schools) and suppliers to maintain high standards of financial control and help deliver best value for money.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience of working within finance administration
- Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Have an understanding of basic financial practice and processes
- Be self‑motivated, naturally organised, with good attention to detail
- Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Be committed to a career in accountancy and excellent service delivery
