This is an excellent opportunity to join Kirkby Stephen Grammar School at a pivotal time for its future. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our growing team. The candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, reflective in their teaching practice and focused on getting the best from every student across all key stages of the secondary curriculum.
The vacancy is for a 0.32 FTE maternity cover until January 2027 and there may be the possibility of additional hours as a Peri Music Teacher should the successful candidate wish to explore this opportunity. The role will initially be focusing on KS3 but we anticipate there will be the opportunity to develop the KS4 and KS5 provision as we move forward.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Possess a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Bed)
- Be an excellent communicator
- Ensure high standards of teaching across the curriculum and have a commitment to challenging learners to achieve well
- Be a passionate, caring and inspirational leader and teacher
- Be self-motivated and reliable
- Be enthusiastic about current research on thinking skills and building learning power.
