Police Staff Vacancy

Cumbria Constabulary is recruiting a full-time permanent Crime Scene Investigator. Applications are invited from trainee CSIs and qualified Level 1 CSIs. The successful candidate will be based at Carlisle police station but may be required to cover the whole county.

The successful candidate must commit to completing a CSI Foundation (Stage 1) course and a post-course development plan if not already qualified. The role involves working a seven-day rota and extended hours during high demand.

The CSI will attend various crime scenes to carry out scene examinations, photography, and evidence recovery, subject to training.

We are looking for candidates who can critically evaluate information, produce accurate written reports, and communicate effectively in challenging situations.
