We are recruiting for a permanent intelligence analyst. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Intelligence research and analysis team in Cumbria Constabulary. This role will be based in Penrith, with the ability to work from home on occasion.

Essential criteria:

  • Educated to Level 6 (degree level) OR demonstrable experience in the field of analysis.
  • Must hold or be willing to undertake College of Policing Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) Certification.
  • Presentation Skills.
  • Ability to research, analyse, and assimilate large volumes of complex data and prepare and produce concise analytical reports.
  • Ability to develop and test inferences and hypotheses and to draw evidence-based conclusions and make recommendations, in support of decision making.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Skilled in the use of IT Packages, systems and/or databases involved in analysis and data manipulation – must be an experienced user of Excel.
  • Ability to appropriately prioritise and plan own work, managing competing demands.
  • Ability to proactively develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend court to present evidence as required.

You will also be provided with ongoing support and training to enable you to continually develop in the role.

Any candidate who passes the initial shortlisting for this role would be expected to complete an Excel test and presentation of analytical findings as part of the interview.
