Applications are invited for the post of Insurance and Risk Officer based at Police Headquarters, Penrith with the option to work from home or another Constabulary location for part of the week. The role is a full-time permanent position but applications would be considered from applicants with the right experience wanting a part-time role.

Salary Range - £37, - £39, (Based on Full Time 37 hours per week). This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Constabulary Financial Services Team. The role of Insurance and Risk Officer will be a key member of the team. The post holder will be responsible for a proactive insurance programme for all aspects of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) and Constabulary operations ensuring personnel, property, assets and liabilities are constantly and adequately protected in line with best value and with full regard to risk management considerations.

Working with other operational colleagues, establish a lessons learned culture regarding insurance and risk management and embrace learning actions to improve organisational outcomes and to reduce organisational risk. Promote a positive culture of insurance providing training and guidance to all levels within the PFCC and Constabulary.

The successful applicant should have professional experience of Insurance, Risk Management and Compliance in a large complex organisation. A Diploma in Insurance (ACII) or other relevant insurance qualification is desirable but not essential for this role.
