Responsibilities
- To assist with the efficient running of the marketing department on a day‑to‑day basis, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures whilst delivering on the firm’s brand guidelines and objectives.
- To create and update the David Allen website with news articles, recruitment, and adverts, auditing the website where required.
- To brief in any required marketing material and advertising to the hired designer and order relevant stock for events.
To brainstorm relevant event merchandise or activities, then create and organise.
- To assist with the group marketing plan and its implementation and evaluation.
- To organise specific events including agricultural shows, sponsorship events, careers evenings, staff events or client events.
To create relationships with organisers, manage event bookings, staffing of the event, marketing material, and all elements required.
To create appropriate event planning documents to support yourself and the team.
- To be responsible for all sponsorship and partnership activity including but not limited to sporting sponsorships, award/event sponsorships and partnerships.
To manage relevant sponsorship activity be it sporting kit, perimeter advertising or event advertising and attendance.
- To support the Marketing Manager with design and creative work such as signage, the full range of David Allen marketing literature and branded items.
- To assist the Marketing Manager in creating adverts, advertorial and press releases, working with departments to create the content.
- To write, proofread and make any necessary amendments to articles, press releases and generic marketing materials prior to production.
- To build relations with the media for both advertising and PR opportunities.
- To support the Marketing Manager in creating direct mail campaigns, composing target audience appropriate letters and working with both Admin and data platforms on database lists.
- To write awards entries with the support of the nominated entrants.
- To record and evaluate all marketing activity requested and completed by compiling an accurate ongoing record.
- To plan, manage and prioritise your own workflow to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- To respond to the requirements of the Marketing Manager in a timely, efficient manner.
- To continually look for ways to improve and develop the department and enhance the client experience.
- To complete appropriate marketing and communications research to allow informed decisions to be made.
- To represent the business when required to ensure positive links, relations and networks.
- To show a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti‑discriminatory practices.
- To undertake personal development necessary to ensure effective performance in the role.
- To participate in relevant and appropriate training and development as required.

- Marketing/events/communications degree or similar.

- Hands on experience of full marketing mix.
- Experience managing website and social media content.
- Experience creating design briefs for printed marketing material such as brochures, adverts and branded merchandise.
- Marketing experience in business services.
- Experience organising events from initial booking to final event and event review.
- Proven experience of managing sponsorship and partnership relations.
- Aesthetics; a critical eye for detail, creativity, and visualisation for branding.
