As a Visitor Host, you will welcome and assist visitors across Cumberland Museum sites, with your primary base at The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven. You will help deliver an excellent visitor experience by providing information and assistance throughout their visit to ensure they have a full and enjoyable experience. The role involves:
- Explaining and selling the range of entry tickets available
- Providing information about current exhibitions, the galleries, and the local area
- Taking bookings
- Answering enquiries
- Processing shop sales
- Handling and reconciling cash
- Spending time on the exhibition floors engaging with visitors
- Supporting events across our museum venues
Excelling in customer service and the ability to work as part of a flexible team is essential. This is a permanent post based with the Cumberland Museums service. While The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven will be your primary base, you will be required to work across Cumberland Museum sites to meet service needs. Travel between sites is an essential requirement of this role.
