Cumberland Council are looking for caring, resilient, and motivated individuals to join our Children’s Homes team as Residential Support Workers. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people aged 8–18.

You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can grow in confidence, develop life skills, and feel heard and supported.

We’re looking for individuals with experience in residential care or youth support, ideally holding (or working towards) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. You’ll need strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to work flexibly – including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. In return, you’ll join a supportive team committed to making a lasting impact, with opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career progression.
