You will work as a Personal Advisor within the Cared For and Care Experienced Team. The role involves supporting young people aged 16‑18 and 18‑25, including those who have experienced care or are seeking asylum, by providing guidance on benefits, accommodation, education, employment, training and health & wellbeing. You will also manage a caseload and conduct required statutory visits and reviews.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with young people aged 16‑18 and 18‑25 who have experience of care or are asylum seekers, acting as their allocated worker.
  • Visit each young person at least every eight weeks and review their pathway plan every six months.
  • Support young people with benefits, accommodation, education, employment, training and health & wellbeing issues.
  • Provide advice and guidance to help them make positive progress towards their goals.
  • Travel to locations across Cumbria to meet young people who live outside your area.
