Join Cumberland Council as a Highways Team Leader. Are you ready to lead a small, skilled team in delivering essential highway maintenance across Cumbria? Cumberland Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Highways Team Leader to supervise and organise a team of up to five operatives. You’ll oversee a variety of tasks, including patching, drainage works, bridge maintenance, and traffic management, ensuring safety, quality, and performance on site.
Who we’re looking for:
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of highway materials and maintenance processes
- Proven leadership experience
- Certification in abrasive wheels
- Experience with plant and equipment
Desirable qualifications include NVQs in Highway Maintenance or Team Leadership, and tickets such as CSCS, HIAB, and NRSWA.
