Job description

Location: Cumbria House, Carlisle

Salary: £41,511 – £42,708 per annum

Hours: 22 hours per week

Contract: Temporary for 9 months

Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for mentoring and developing others? This exciting role puts you at the heart of shaping the future of social work in Cumbria. You’ll support social work students and early career practitioners through their ASYE and Practice Education pathways, chair accreditation panels, and help embed innovative professional development across teams. If you have a strong background in social work and a clear understanding of the Practice Educator role, this is your chance to make a meaningful difference while supporting workforce development and reform.

This role is available on a fixed-term basis.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in social work
  • Significant experience in a social work role
  • Understanding of the Practice Educator/Assessors roles.

DBS Checks

This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is – Enhanced DBS Check with a Children’s Barred List check.

Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
