About This Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an experienced music education professional with excellent organisational skills to lead and inspire others. As the Music Service Manager for Cumberland, working as a partner of the Cumbria Music Hub, you will have extensive experience of working with large groups of children and young people in a musical context in and out of schools. The successful candidate will manage a small core team of administrative staff, two team leaders, 10 music teachers and 15 freelance music tutors. The Music Service Manager will work with colleagues in schools and across the SEND, Education and Inclusion Service to raise standards in music education. The successful candidate will also act as the budget holder for the service and be responsible for reporting to the Cumbria Music Hub and the Hub Board. As an advocate for music in schools, the successful candidate will grow the service and its reach into Cumberland Schools. The role includes responsibility for implementing a range of curricular and extracurricular objectives in line with local, regional and national music education communities. This role is available on a permanent basis.
