Peripatetic Music Teacher – Cumberland Council
We are seeking a music teacher for the Cumberland Music Service, a Local Authority service delivery area within Cumberland Council. Positions are contracted for Centrally Employed Teachers.
Base Pay Range
Salary will be based on skills and experience; minimum Unqualified Teacher Status to UPS3, on Standard Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
Location: Cumberland
Hours: 16h 15m (0.5 FTE pro rata – 32.5 FTE teacher’s hours)
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Teach full class, small groups, and 1‑1 tuition.
- Participate in developing the Carlisle Music Centre and after‑school performances.
- Optionally offer other instruments such as recorder or ukelele to whole classes or choir.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Unqualified Teacher Status to UPS3.
- Standard Teachers’ Pay and Conditions eligibility.
