Location: Carlisle or Workington

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Organisational Development Facilitator to join our Organisational Development and Workforce Training Team. You will play a key role in delivering training across the organisation with a focus on supporting individuals to thrive in their roles and supporting the delivery of the Our Future Cumberland Programme – a transformational initiative to align people, processes and purpose across the council.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering engaging organisational development and learning sessions
  • Supporting organisational change through high‑quality facilitation
  • Engaging small to medium‑sized groups confidently, online and face‑to‑face
  • Keeping sessions focused, inclusive and impactful
  • Building strong, trusted working relationships across the organisation
  • Using a range of delivery methods, including digital tools

You’ll be based in Carlisle or Workington, with some travel to council sites across Cumbria.

  • Has experience planning, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes
  • Brings strong facilitation skills and can confidently engage diverse audiences
  • Understands organisational development principles and change management
  • Can adapt your style and methods to different settings and learners
  • Communicates clearly and works collaboratively with others
