We are seeking two skilled Infrastructure Engineers to join our dynamic ICT team. This is a critical technical role responsible for planning, developing, deploying, testing, supporting, and optimising ICT infrastructure systems and services. You will ensure operational readiness across voice, data, server, storage, and perimeter security systems, delivering a seamless experience for end-users. Working as part of the infrastructure team, you will assist in the design and implementation of complex IT projects within the Council.

- Fortinet (firewalls, security solutions)
- HPE Aruba (networking and wireless)
- VMware (virtualisation and cloud infrastructure)
- Cisco (networking and security)
- Zscaler (cloud security)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing specified technologies, designing and implementing complex IT projects within agreed timescales.
- Provide expert advice on technical issues, risks, and benefits to managers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic decision‑making and advise on procurements.
- Maintain and optimise infrastructure systems through proactive monitoring and upgrades.
- Support business continuity planning and testing for infrastructure solutions.
- Capture knowledge and contribute to service improvement, including technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to resolve customer issues and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 4, HND, degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of IT servers, operating systems, admin tools, performance optimisation, LAN/WAN, voice platforms, Wi‑Fi, and related technologies.
- Substantial experience in a relevant ICT role.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of ICT application in organisations.
- Ability to travel independently across sites.
The role is a Permanent basis.
