Join Cumberland Council as a Highways Team Leader. Are you ready to lead a small, skilled team in delivering essential highway maintenance across Cumbria? Cumberland Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Highways Team Leader to supervise and organise a team of up to five operatives. You’ll oversee a variety of tasks including patching, drainage works, bridge maintenance, and traffic management, ensuring safety, quality, and performance on site.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a full UK driving licence, strong knowledge of highway materials and maintenance processes, and proven leadership experience. Certification in abrasive wheels and experience with plant and equipment are essential. Desirable qualifications include NVQs in Highway Maintenance or Team Leadership, and tickets such as CSCS, HIAB, and NRSWA.
