About This Opportunity

Cumberland Council is recruiting 4 Education Health and Care Plan Coordinators for its SEND Team. The role supports children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Salary: £34,434 to £35,412 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Carlisle and Workington

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the statutory assessment process for identified children and young people with SEND.
  • Develop clear and effective EHCPs by gathering input from a range of professionals and services.
  • Ensure statutory timelines and legal requirements are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for parents, carers, schools and professionals.
  • Monitor and review EHCPs to ensure provision remains appropriate, compliance with statutory guidance and efficient use of resources.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health and social care partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and casework systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Relevant experience in education, health, or social care is desirable.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
  • Should be able to meet the statutory and legal requirements of the EHCP process.
