About This Opportunity
Would you like to support and inspire those within your community? We are looking to recruit Support Assistants/Teaching Assistants on a sessional basis to cover adult learning classes in the Carlisle area. This role offers an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and to work within a highly rated service that enhances employment opportunities and meets the needs of local employers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver adult learning classes, covering GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics and English, ESOL, employability and LLDD.
- Prepare and develop learning resources to support diverse learning styles and needs.
- Support learners on a 1:1 basis within the classroom.
- Attend daytime and evening classes as required.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant with a proven ability to prepare and deliver learning activities.
- Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work with learners of all abilities.
- Ability to teach and support learners across a range of skill levels from absolute beginner to intermediate and beyond.
