About This Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Senior Teaching Assistant on a 0.4 fractional post to support learners with specific needs. The successful candidate will be expected to assist tutors in preparing and delivering lessons for learners in a group setting suited to their needs, work 1‑1 with learners to review their progress using a new cognitive assessment platform, and be sensitive to the unique needs and challenges faced by adults from diverse backgrounds. Adult Learning, rated Good by Ofsted, delivers community learning and skills provision. The service provision includes a wide range of programmes such as English and Maths (Entry Level to GCSE), ESOL, LLDD, Employability, Family Learning, Digital Skills, Health and Wellbeing, and Arts and Craft. The successful candidate will support face‑to‑face and online courses across the county and may work during daytime and evenings, requiring flexible working to meet demand. The ideal candidate will be positive, flexible, enthusiastic, and able to support learners with a range of needs using a variety of strategies. Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or a Teaching Assistant is essential.
