Cumberland Comms are offering an exciting opportunity to candidates wanting to enter the telecommunications industry. The role involves building, providing, or repairing telecom services for commercial or residential customers on the UK's National Telecom Access Network. We are looking for new team members to join our business as full-time telecommunication engineers. Less qualified candidates may have the opportunity to register on a Telecom Field Operative Apprenticeship.
The ideal candidate should have experience working overhead or in the underground network. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to fast track their career with on-the-job learning, working towards industry recognised qualifications, whilst gaining valuable onsite training. Those who attend the apprenticeship will gain the knowledge and skills to confidently install, test, and certify fibre cable installations whilst working to the correct standards and best practices.
Must be able to attend the office in Beverley (HU17) daily and be willing to attend DTN Academy in Stockton (TS18) for the 4-week front loaded apprenticeship.
Requirements:- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Safety conscious
- An excellent standard of work
- Confident working at heights and in the underground network
- Excellent communication skills
- A good standard of customer service
- Risk assessment and hazard identification with a strong focus on Health and Safety practices
- Must always represent the Company in a positive manner
- Must be happy to work outdoors
- Be a team player who can work using your own initiative
- Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable)
- Hold or have held Openreach overhead, underground and fibre accreditation modules (desirable)
- Have experience of working on Openreach/Quickline networks (desirable)
