We’re looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to support the management of our product ranges throughout the product lifecycle, to meet business objectives in line with the our values as a mutual building society.

The Role

You’ll act as a 'advocate’ within the business, liaising with other departments and our branch network to promote the features and benefits of our products. You’ll provide a point of contact for sales and operational teams to resolve product queries and decision making on customer requests.

You’ll own product pricing, development and implementation and identify new pricing opportunities, ensuring all rate changes follow the pricing governance process and have acquired approval and testing. You’ll also:

  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of our pricing models with ongoing development and maintenance.
  • Be a data SME within Mortgage Products providing accurate and on-going product and pricing insights.
  • Manage Pricing risks, identify mitigants and implement new controls where appropriate.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of competitors, general market, and regulatory pricing/product developments to provide insight into tactics that deliver improved propositions, financial performance, the right outcomes and to ensure that our products continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers (both direct and via intermediaries).
  • Develop and manage of a suite of accurate management information dashboards, to monitor product performance and inform product/pricing decisions.
  • Clearly communicate proposals to gain consensus to pricing changes from stakeholders across the organisation. Writing clear business proposals for product changes and new product developments.
  • Support product governance and performance reporting to a range of internal committees and meetings including but not limited to, Product and Pricing Committee and Board.
  • Deliver product launches and withdrawals accurately and quickly, ensuring other business teams are fully engaged.
  • Support the product manager in the development of analysts within the team, including development of technical skills and succession planning.

About You

We’re looking for someone with knowledge of financial environment and excellent analytical skills. You’ll be highly numerate and with Advanced Excel and problem solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Experience in financial services product or commercial areas desired, ideally in mortgages.
  • Experience in mortgage pricing or related financial services pricing role highly desired.
  • CeMAP qualified or working towards qualification desired, but not essential
