The Poetry Society is seeking a highly motivated, organised and experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to raise the profile and maximise the reach of The Poetry Society, one of Britain's most dynamic arts organisations, representing British poetry both nationally and internationally.
The role sits at the very centre of The Society's activities in person and online, and the right candidate will lead a variety of campaigns that connect diverse audiences with poetry through the promotion of our internationally renowned competitions and prizes, publications, events, commissions, digital archives and education programmes. The Marketing & Communications Manager will drive audience growth through impactful digital marketing, social media, website development, email communications and media relations, while identifying new opportunities for innovation, partnership development and income generation.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong copywriting, PR and digital marketing skills, experience using analytics to inform strategy, and the ability to manage multiple projects and budgets effectively. You will be confident building relationships with media, partners and stakeholders, and passionate about expanding access to poetry for new and existing audiences.
The Poetry Society is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, and experience with Illuminate or similar platforms, and managing activity/engagement metrics and qualitative data for funder reporting would be beneficial.
