Culture Guru is partnering with a long-established contractor in the built environment who, after more than two decades, has built a reputation as a trusted partner across both public and private sector projects. Based in East London, they're looking for a genuinely brilliant Office Administrator to become the beating heart of a busy, growing team. This is not a quiet corner-of-the-office admin job. You'll be the person everyone comes to – the one who knows where things are, what's booked, who's starting on Monday and why the printer is doing that thing again. Supporting a team of around 90 people and working closely with Heads of Department and senior leadership, you'll keep the office (and everyone in it) running like clockwork. There's real scope here to improve how things are done. If you're the sort of person who spots a clunky process and quietly fixes it, you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Being the go-to for day-to-day office life – keeping the place well-run, well-stocked and working properly, and handling post, calls, correspondence and meeting room bookings
  • Managing office suppliers and contracts (stationery, print, phones, facilities), keeping an eye on value for money
  • Supporting new starters end-to-end – ID checks, paperwork, IT and equipment, kit and workwear, and making sure day one actually feels welcoming
  • Keeping employee records accurate and confidential – personnel files, annual leave, absence and other people data
  • Sourcing and booking training, and keeping training records spot-on
  • Helping plan the good stuff – summer and Christmas parties, team-building days and company presentations
  • Supporting internal audits and compliance activity, and helping keep quality and health
