Bid Writer/Manager β Construction / Built Environment
Salary: up to Β£80,000 + benefits (Private medical care)
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time β (Hybrid) 1 day WFH
Culture Guru is partnering with an award-winning main contractor within construction refurbishment and fit-out. For 25 years they've been making a positive impact at the heart of communities across London and the South East, creating homes and places people are proud of, where they can live safely and thrive. They're now looking for a genuinely brilliant Bid Writer to help them win the work that makes all of that possible.
Sitting at the heart of a dynamic bid team and reporting to the Head of Bid Management (and Managing Director), you'll work on every element of the bid writing process β producing bespoke, high-quality SQ and tender submissions.
- Writing bespoke, high-quality responses to SQs and ITT/tender questions β breaking questions down into their individual elements so every answer is clear, evidenced and scores top marks.
- Requesting tender-stage support from operational teams (programmes, method statements, risk assessments, site plans) and chasing it back in on time and to a high standard.
- Supporting the daily management of tender clarifications so they reach the bid and estimating teams promptly.
- Organising bid production so printing or uploading of final SQ and ITT documents always happens on time.
- Maintaining the bid library, collating high-scoring responses, and helping manage the bid pipeline and references database.
- Building rapport with clients and consultants, and working to all company policies and procedures.
Demonstrable, creative writing skills β you're a genuinely strong writer who can make complex information clear, persuasive and easy to understand (essential).
Excellent computer skills: advanced MS Word, strong Excel and PowerPoint, and a working knowledge of InDesign (essential).
Brilliantly organised with strong time management β you prioritise well and see multiple concurrent bids through to completion.
A thorough understanding of the bid process and experience of bids/tender writing in a fast-paced environment (desirable), including electronic tender platforms.
