You\’ll receive practical, tailored training while gradually taking on more responsibility within a wellmanaged rearing and finishing unit of around 1,000 head of cattle.
Through hands-on experience and supportive guidance, you’ll develop your skills across all areas of livestock management, including herd health routines, day-to-day care, and ensuring the unit operates to high welfare and production standards.
If you have previous experience of working on a beef farm, a good eye for detail, and a strong willingness to learn, this role could be a great next step.

Role Responsibilities: ● To support the daily care and management of the herd, undertake feeding and routine husbandry tasks to maintain high standards of animal welfare and productivity ● To undertake routine health checks and monitor signs of illness or distress ● To maintain accurate records including animal movements, health data and weight gain ● To follow established farm protocols and procedures to ensure the farm complies with industry standards ● To maintain a high level of stockmanship ● To participate in all continual training to support your personal growth Skills you will need: Essential: ● Previous experience of livestock farming, ideally with beef cattle ● A good knowledge of animal husbandry and livestock production systems ● A good eye for detail, able to identify early signs of illness or injury ● Competent in handling livestock safely and calmly ● Good record-keeping abilities and organisational skills ● The ability to work independently and as part of a team ● Physically fit, reliable, and dedicated ● A desire and eagerness to learn and develop personally ● Proficient in the use of computers ● UK driving license Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package reflective of the candidate\’s experience, with a requirement to work weekend rota hours
