About the Role:

Are you a technically-driven leader with a passion for people management, ready to uphold and enhance the outstanding service quality reputation of a global leader? We are searching for a Technical Engineer Team Lead to manage a small, high-performing team of second-line support engineers. Holding a proven, driven, and technical mindset, you will be the key driver of operational excellence and a trusted ambassador for service quality. You’ll oversee daily operations, lead training initiatives, and support the professional growth of your team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-level technical support. This hybrid role offers flexibility to manage your own schedule, with regular visits across the wider business. You will also be expected to attend our client\\\’s office in the Midlands once a week. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong technical mindset who thrives on people management, continuous improvement, and delivering results!

Responsibilities

  • To manage, coach, and support a team of technical specialists, fostering growth through training, certification, and development initiatives
  • To define and implement strategic and operational goals aligned with business objectives and technical capabilities
  • To ensure effective delivery of second-line services, including 24/7 support, technical audits, incident handling, and field visits
  • To oversee team compliance with service standards and processes, ensuring high-quality execution through established management systems and tools
  • To collaborate effectively across the broader business to ensure alignment of service support strategies and key initiatives
  • To serve as the technical lead and main point of contact for processes, driving operational excellence and service quality

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation, and pneumatic systems
