As the Farm Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the future success and growth of our client’s business by overseeing the daily operations of a high-performing, large-scale dairy farming enterprise. Role Responsibilities:

  • To oversee daily operations to ensure optimum farm performance is maintained while proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
  • To work alongside the directors to develop and implement management and business growth strategies.
  • To establish and track KPIs, regularly analysing performance and cost control metrics, highlighting any trends with actionable insights.
  • To collaborate closely with farm consultants, veterinarians, nutritionists, agronomists and other third-party experts to drive business performance.
  • To develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational performance.
  • To lead and mentor a developing team, cultivating a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
  • To manage all aspects of personnel, including recruitment, rota oversight, training, and monthly performance reviews to ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment with business objectives.
  • To lead weekly operational meetings, providing KPI updates, analysis, and feedback to drive performance improvement based on data-driven insight.
  • To ensure the farm adheres to industry and health and safety standards, that staff regularly complete training on farm procedures and protocols, and that a safe farm culture is installed.
  • To maintain a clean and well-presented farm environment, ensuring the property is tidy, well-kept, and upholds high standards of appearance.
