The Opportunity: Ready to lead the packing operations of a progressive farming business through an exciting period of operational development and investment? As Pack House Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the West Midlands packing centre, ensuring production runs efficiently while supporting the wider business. The role combines operational management, customer engagement, and involvement in key business projects, with responsibility for delivering production targets while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, food safety, traceability, and compliance.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with experience in FMCG, food production, fresh produce, or agricultural environments, who can develop high-performing teams, drive continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily pack house operations, ensuring production runs efficiently and targets are achieved.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality, food safety, product traceability, and compliance, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to BRCGS standards.
  • Lead, train, and support team members to promote productivity and high performance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships ensuring service excellence and delivery of requirements.
  • Drive and monitor operational performance and modernisation through proactive issue resolution, automation, digital traceability, and reporting.

Skills you will need:

  • Proven experience in a pack house or manufacturing management role within FMCG or agriculture.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, food safety, traceability, and audit compliance.
  • Experience leading and developing teams within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Hands-on, personable and responsive to changing business needs.
  • Competent IT skills, including CRM and operational systems.
