About Cultivate and Bwyd Powys Food
Are you passionate about local, fresh and seasonal produce? We are looking for a highly motivated, organised person to join the Cultivate Team. Cultivate is dedicated to supporting a resilient local food economy and is the host of Bwyd Powys Food, the sustainable food partnership for Powys. The vision of Bwyd Powys Food is "Good food for Powys! Where local, sustainable and healthy food supports communities, its people and the environment". This vision is delivered through the Powys Food Strategy and Action Plan.
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management Team to ensure the successful delivery of grant-funded projects.
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of project outcomes to satisfy the requirements of funding bodies.
- Manage internal and external communications for specific projects, ensuring all promotional activity aligns with grant-funded objectives.
- Maintain and update project-related spreadsheets and databases to track progress and engagement.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and partnership events as directed by Senior Management.
- Produce and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters and social media updates, to promote project successes across Powys.
- Act as a point of contact for project partners and stakeholders, facilitating smooth communication and information sharing.
- Support the Cultivate team and Bwyd Powys Food partnership in achieving the goals set out in the Powys Food Strategy and Action Plan.

- Passionate about local, fresh and seasonal produce (E).
- High level of competence in using spreadsheets and databases for administrative tracking (E).
- Organised and systematic approach to work but with the capacity to be flexible (E).
- Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and project partners (E).
- Experience in professional communications or marketing, including online and offline platforms (P).
- Ability to deal with a crisis in a calm and creative way, a lateral thinker (P).
- Experience of coordinating volunteers or administrative tasks in the food sector (P).
- A desire to support the Cultivate team and Bwyd Powys Food partnership to succeed in various linked projects (E).
- Able to drive and have use of own vehicle for occasional business use; willing to travel around Powys (E).
- Ability to speak, read and write in Welsh (P).
