Based at Heanor. Responsible for ensuring that all team members provide the necessary services and support that Project Managers require to deliver compliant projects on time, to budget, and to meet customer needs while supporting the sustainability and growth of the business. Provide control and coordination of designated site resources and personnel, and forward planning of installation activities, labour, materials, equipment and contracted resource in conjunction with Installations Management. Lead and advise the Site installations team, ensure compliance with customer and company specifications, quality, Health Safety & Environmental standards and current legislation. Act as the site interface between Cullum, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors for installation plans and progress.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Site installations team; interpret and ensure compliance with customer and company specifications, plans and working instructions.
- Coordinate site resources and personnel to achieve the least cost option while meeting project objectives.
- Forward plan site installation activities, labour, materials, equipment and contracted resources with Installations Management.
- Interface with Cullum, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors regarding installation plans and progress; drive plans to minimize time and cost in line with requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the Site installation phase of projects; liaise with site personnel, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and Cullum departments.
- Maintain budgetary control of site resources and support departmental objectives; maximise use of management control and IT systems for accurate project control.
- Assist with preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Crane plans and Health, Safety & Environmental documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist in site audits, inspections, surveys, pre-site visits and meetings for Installation aspects of all projects.
- Collaborate with other departments at concept, design and manufacturing stages to ensure safety and cost effectiveness within current regulations and specifications.
- Lead by example on Health, Safety & Environmental matters, welfare and codes of conduct; identify and implement improvements for site working.
- Work with initiative, providing guidance and supervision of Site personnel; strive for optimum performance within the Installations Department.
- Monitor and report on designated site activities, progress, issues and concerns; maintain a daily log.
- Ensure Installations Manager/Engineers are informed of major developments and problems; maintain records of relevant issues.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Health, Safety, Welfare, Environmental & Quality policies.
- Undertake duties as required within capabilities and responsibilities in line with UK and EC laws; perform tasks assigned by line management.
Qualifications
Essential
- Recognised Engineering trade qualification
- Minimum GCSE Grade 5 or above in Maths and English
- A minimum of two years site/installations experience
- Understanding and application of site Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Proficient communication and administrative skills with ability to interact with people at all levels
Desirable
- Previous understanding of CDM regulations
- Previous experience as Site Supervisor/Manager
- Project planning, reporting and management skills
Other
- Out of hours, overseas work may be required
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Off-shore working may be necessary from time to time (Desirable)
