Based at Heanor, the job involves providing continual support to the Head of Installation Services and the Production Manager in all aspects relating to the smooth running of onsite and manufacturing activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out and supporting building maintenance activities for the Heanor facility in line with the planned schedule and any ad-hoc requirements.
  • Travelling to UK sites and suppliers to deliver or collect items to ensure project delivery is kept to schedule.
  • Assisting and controlling competent personnel/tradesman/companies in maintaining the building’s maintenance.
  • Transporting equipment and tooling within the UK in support of the Production/Installation department, with overnight stayovers as required.
  • Working in a professional manner with internal and external personnel as part of day-to-day activities.
  • Reading and understanding Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Health Safety & Environmental documentation to ensure compliance with current regulations and legislations.
  • Complying with company specifications, plans and working instructions ensuring site and product compliance with quality, Health Safety & Environmental standards and current legislations.
  • General housekeeping of stores & yards and other areas.
  • Supporting all areas of the company in the distribution of all consumables.
  • Working closely with other team members on matters of Health Safety & Environmental, welfare and conduct.
  • Working under own initiative whilst also guiding other staff.
  • Promoting and representing the Company when required, always setting a good personal example.
  • Creating a harmonious working environment using effective communication and team working techniques.
  • Adhering to Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health, Safety, Welfare, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.
  • Undertaking duties as may be required within capabilities consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment and responsibilities in accordance with UK and EC Laws.
  • Being aware of, and adhering to, all applicable current Cullum IMS documentation including policies, procedures and the Employee Handbook.
  • Undertaking tasks and responsibilities assigned by line manager.

Education and Qualifications

  • Essential: Full Clean UK driving licence.

  • Essential: Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements; Basic understanding of DIY to assist with building maintenance activities; Communication skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels; Basic team working skills; Working away from home; Experience of driving commercial vehicles.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of basic electrical installations and maintenance; Previous experience of Site Installation activities.
