Total Soft Water is a well-established retailer and service provider specialising in water softeners, drinking water solutions, and salt products. Operating across two retail locations in Hitchin and Harpenden, we provide sales, installations, servicing, and customer support to domestic and commercial customers. We are proud to be part of the wider Culligan Harvey Group, a global leader in water treatment solutions.
We are seeking a proactive and professional Sales and Operations Coordinator to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on role with responsibilities spanning customer service, retail sales, inventory management, logistics, and administrative support. You'll play an important role in helping customers find the right solution, whilst ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across both shop locations.
Hours of working:
- Monday - Friday: 9:30 - 17:00
- 2 in 4 Saturdays on rotation: 9:30 - 13:00
Requirements:
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating both face to face and via telephone.
- Make outbound follow-up calls and respond to inbound enquiries.
- Assist customers in our retail shops, maximising sales opportunities.
- Manage and move stock (up to 25kg) between both locations and assist customers with loading.
- Order stock and parts from approved suppliers.
- Organise returns and replacement parts with manufacturers.
- Process customer orders using our systems.
- Carry out local salt deliveries using the company van (1-2 days per week or when needed).
- Support with stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
A valid driving licence is required for this role, as you will work between our two sites and will be required to make deliveries one day of the week. The successful candidate will also be comfortable with heavy lifting, with the ability to safely lift and move stock weighing up to 25kg. You will be proficient using IT systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams). Experience working on Salesforce CRM and Xero would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
